Audtion Information
Bus Permission Slip

Elementary Band Grades: 4,5,6
Each Student (Except Snare Drum and Timpani) will be responsible for:
-3 major scales from memory -Rudiments (percussion only)
-Audition music
-Sight Reading

Junior High Band Grades: 7,8,9
Each Student (Except Snare Drum and Timpani) will be responsible for:
-7 Major scales from memory -Rudiments (percussion only)
-Audition music
-Sight Reading

Any student that is auditioning must:
1. Review the piece with Mr. Rizzi
2. Prepare the required scales.
3. Attend their weekly rotating lesson during each school week.
4. Have exceptional lesson attendance.
5. Come to band and lessons prepared with all materials.
6. Have an attitude to try one’s best.
7. Wear concert dress for the audition.
