Here you'll find some great documents to prevent the summer slide!
Reading and Writing 20 or more minutes a day is the BEST way to keep your student 3rd-grade ready. (In the Summer Resources: Writing section, you'll even find Daily Journal prompts for every day of the summer!)
In addition to reading and writing, there are some great resources here for each learning area.
I recommend that you start with the Summer Resources. There are great mini-slice pages that give a little practice each day for each part of our curriculum (math, reading, writing, grammar).
The Reading Section gives great passages for reading to understand ideas. The Writing section has two mini-units as well as the Daily Journal prompt pages for the entire summer. The Math section has more daily practice pages as well as a unit on Time that we weren't able to start during our school year.
