The Board and administration always welcome constructive recommendations to improve. • New Graduation Plans!

We are excited to announce that since 70% of New Yorkers aged 18 or older have received the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccination series, the New York State Department of Health (DOH) has lifted some of the restrictions for commencement ceremonies. Given this news, I am pleased to announce that Highland High School Class of 2021 will be able to graduate together — while seated with their classmates — in one ceremony, on Thursday, June 24 at 6:30 PM. • An Important Message From Supt. Bongiovi

Dear Parents and Guardians, Last night, we received updated official guidance from New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) that no longer requires masks to be worn outside on school grounds, including outdoor school sports. However, there was no change to the requirement of mask use indoors and on school buses. Although the NYSDOH is still requiring masks indoors, please remember the importance of frequent mask breaks and hydration as the temperatures are getting warmer. Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation, and support. Go Huskies! Supt. Thomas Bongiovi

  • Armed Forces Salute: by the HHS Choir

Enjoy this musical performance by the Highland High School choir. The musicians’ “Armed Forces Salute”—a medley of songs honoring the men and women who died serving in the U.S. Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, Marines, and Navy—was a virtual performance featuring HHS alumnus Minh Tran (Class of 2020) on piano accompaniment, and artwork contributed by HHS students. All vocals and musical parts were recorded separately and edited together with the visuals by HHS vocal music teacher Erin Bradley and junior Camryn Moschitta.
