  • Highland High Schoolers Learn the Importance of Credit

    With hopes to properly prepare students for life after graduation, Highland High School gathered Economics and Financial Math classes to learn the importance of credit from local author, John Panzella.

  • HMS Bicycle Donation Program

    The Middle School working with the Ulster County YMCA & Highland Rotary Club, reconditions bikes and makes them available for students to use within their Physical Education class. For our students, the PE classes uses donated bikes to provide safety education and community exploration in conjunction with interdisciplinary education. Read for more information on how to donate.

  • Highland Students Attend Model UN Conference

    Highland students who participate in the Model UN Club showcased their research, knowledge, and public speaking skills at Bard’ College’s Model United Nations Conference (BardMUNC). There, the Husky delegation joined with other students from as far away as Ohio to replicate a United Nations session and present their positions on several complex situations. Read more.

  • Highland Middle Schoolers Explore Career Options at Annual Event

    More than 55 local business people and other passionate representatives of a variety of possible career choices shared descriptions of their “life’s work” with more than 400 Highland Middle School (HMS) students in Grades 6-8 during the school’s third annual Career Day event.

    Through the generosity of Wilklow Orchards, located across the street from the school, this Fall every Highland High School student who wished to was able to stop by after school and get one free apple every day the farm stand is open.

  • Schedule for Parent-Teacher Conferences:

    • Tuesday, February 26th, 5-8pm, Middle School
    • Wednesday, February 27th, 5-8pm, High School
    • Thursday, February 28th, 5-8pm, Elementary School
    • Friday, March 1st, Parent-Teacher Conferences in all buildings, 8-11am, followed by teacher dismissal at 11am. (NO SCHOOL for students that day)
