Mindfulness
-
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, and paying attention to, one's own thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the present moment, without judgment. When individuals practice mindfulness, they are focusing on the present, not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Mindfulness can be used to address stress, anxiety, and pain, and to feel more relaxed. Mindfulness can be effective for individuals of all ages. It can improve executive functioning, emotional well-being, and social skills in children and adolescents.
