Facilities and Operations
The Highland Central School District’s Operations & Maintenance Department is staffed by a team of highly dedicated and experienced full- and part-time personnel. The Department is responsible for maintaining and cleaning more than 300,000 square feet of facilities and over 100 acres of athletic fields and grounds. A staff member remains on duty in the buildings most weeknights and on weekends, as needed, to support school-related and community activities hosted by outside organizations, such as the PTA, athletic teams, and other groups.
Operations & Maintenance personnel also play a critical role in the District’s construction projects, working closely with the superintendent, Business Office, architects, and construction representatives to ensure that projects proceed in accordance with approved designs, meet stringent quality standards, and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.
