Capital Project

Work on our Capital Project, which was approved by voters in the fall of 2022, is nearing completion.

 

Phase I of the project addressed multiple antiquated building components in each of our schools, including classroom flooring and ceilings, electrical systems, lighting, and lockers. A number of ceiling grids and lighting fixtures were replaced in a few Elementary School classrooms in the spring of 2024, with the remaining infrastructure work being completed in the summer.
 

Phase II work, which focuses on the athletic field at the High School, began in the spring of 2024 and continued throughout the summer and fall. This outdoor work included replacing the existing grass field with turf; replacing the track and adding perimeter drains; replacing bleachers; and building a concession stand area, press box, and bathroom facilities. A bulk of the Phase II work is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
