Another memorable school year has come to a close! Highland Elementary School marked the last day of school with a joyful and heartfelt tradition that has come to symbolize the spirit of the school community—a celebratory clap-out.
As the young Huskies exited the school on June 26, they were greeted by cheering administrators, teachers, and staff members who lined the sidewalk to applaud their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout the year. The energy was high and the smiles were wide as students waved goodbye, exchanged high-fives, and soaked in the excitement of summer just around the corner.
This simple but meaningful gesture helped send students off on a positive note—feeling proud, appreciated, and excited for the adventures ahead. It also served as a reminder of the strong connections formed within our school walls and the supportive environment that helps our students thrive.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the faculty and staff who made this celebration (and the school year) so special. Your support, dedication, and care continue to make Highland a place where students feel encouraged to learn, grow, and succeed.
Have a safe, restful, and fun-filled summer! We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another great year of learning.
