Huskies Celebrate Lunar New Year
Highland Elementary School had an amazing time celebrating Lunar New Year a day early on January 28.
Students explored the rich traditions of this special holiday by learning about its significance in Asian cultures, wearing vibrant red as a symbol of luck and joy, reading festive stories, and getting creative with crafts. One highlight was making colorful crowns to honor the Year of the Snake!
Special thanks to Grade 4 student Kyle Bui, who shared interesting facts about Lunar New Year during the morning announcements.
It was a fun and meaningful way to embrace cultural traditions and ring in the new year together.
