Highland High School Hosts Vibrant World Languages Night

On April 10, Highland High School was transformed into a global celebration of culture, cuisine, and community during its annual World Languages Night. The event, hosted by the World Language Department, highlighted the diversity of international traditions through food, art, and student achievement.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed sampling a wide array of dishes from various countries and exploring informative displays created by students that showcased customs, holidays, and traditions from around the world.

Several interactive activities added to the fun, including stunning henna art and a colorful piñata, which was a hit—literally—with the students.

The evening concluded with a special recognition ceremony honoring graduating seniors and inducting juniors into the French and Spanish Honor Societies. Proud families looked on as students were celebrated for their dedication to language learning and cultural appreciation.

World Languages Night was a joyful and enriching event, showcasing the enthusiasm of Highland’s students and the strong sense of community that supports them.
