Prom Goers Witness Powerful "Mock Crash"

The scene outside Highland School on the morning of May 2 was intense—but thankfully, it was all part of a powerful “Mock Crash” staged just hours before this year’s prom. Juniors and seniors looked on as a dramatic simulation unfolded, depicting the devastating consequences of drinking and driving.

The emotional demonstration featured student actors, local law enforcement, and emergency responders working together to deliver a clear and unforgettable message: making safe choices saves lives. The presentation was mandatory for all students attending prom and served as a sobering reminder of the real-life dangers that can come with one bad decision.

Special thanks to the Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) club for helping bring this impactful program to Highland—it’s one our Huskies won’t forget.
