The 2024-2025 school year may have officially wrapped up on June 26, but students at Highland Middle School made sure to squeeze in a few more hours of joy, laughter, and togetherness before saying goodbye for the summer.
In a celebration that perfectly captured the spirit of the school community, students in Grades 6-8 gathered outside for an morning of festivities designed to mark the end of the year in a fun and memorable way. With bright skies overhead, the school grounds were transformed into a lively event space featuring games, treats, music, and plenty of smiles.
The celebration offered a wide array of activities for students to enjoy. From tossing water balloons and lining up for face painting to taking a shot at the dunk tank, there was something for everyone. Teachers and staff joined in on the fun, helping to run stations and cheer students on as they made the most of their final moments on campus for the year.
In addition to the playful activities, the event offered students a meaningful chance to connect with friends and teachers before parting ways for the summer break. Students signed each other’s t-shirts, snapped photos, and exchanged heartfelt hugs and goodbyes—a reminder of the strong bonds built throughout the year.
Events like this one have become a treasured tradition at Highland Middle School, reinforcing the importance of community, celebration, and creating joyful experiences for students.
Thank you to the staff, volunteers, and organizers who made the day possible—and to our students, thank you for bringing your energy, kindness, and enthusiasm all year long.
Have a safe, restful, and fun summer, Huskies! We can’t wait to see you again in the fall.
