On June 25, Highland Middle School proudly celebrated the achievements of its Grade 8 students during a memorable Moving-Up Ceremony that marked the exciting transition from middle school to high school. Families, faculty, and friends gathered to honor the Class of 2029 as they closed one chapter and prepared to begin another.
The ceremony was filled with pride, emotion, and celebration as students were recognized for their growth, accomplishments, and resilience throughout their middle school years. Dressed for the occasion and beaming with excitement, the students took to the stage to receive their certificates and congratulations from school leaders.
Principal Andrew Carnright addressed the students and families, commending the Huskies for their hard work, perseverance, and positive contributions to the school community. His remarks reflected both pride in all that the students have achieved and confidence in the bright futures that await them.
Parents and loved ones looked on with pride as the students smiled, laughed, and posed for photos with friends and teachers—many taking a moment to reflect on the memories made during their time at the Middle School.
The event served as both a celebration and a send-off, reminding students of the strong foundation they’ve built and encouraging them to carry those experiences and values forward as they enter high school this fall.
Congratulations to the future Class of 2029! We can’t wait to see all the ways you’ll continue to learn, grow, and shine at Highland High School and beyond.
