  • MS Scholastic Virtual Book Fair

    A Scholastic Virtual Book Fair to benefit Highland Middle School will kick off on Monday, April 5, and continue until Sunday, April 18. All purchasing can be done online and orders will be shipped directly to your home. A link to the Book Fair will be posted on Schoology on the morning of April 5.

  • Moving to Four-Day In-Person Hybrid and Five Day Remote

    We are very pleased to announce that the Board of Education has approved our plan to replace our current hybrid learning model (in which students are in-person two days a week) with one that provides four days a week of in-person instruction!   • Update on Four-Day In-Person Learning

    We are very pleased to announce that the Board of Education has agreed to bring Kindergarten students back to the buildings for four days a week of in-person instruction beginning March 22. The remaining students are anticipated to return 4/12 or 4/19. Read more here.

  • New Slate of Honorees Named to the Husky Hall of Fame

    Congratulations to our newest members of the Highland Central School District Hall of Fame. Retired Highland Elementary School (HES) teacher Darlene Spizzo Plavchak is the recipient of this year’s Husky Pride award. The Alumni Hall of Fame inductees are NBC news correspondent Scott MacFarlane and the late Hobart “Hobie” Simpson, who was a successful business and community leader. The Hall of Fame was created three years ago to recognize the achievements of accomplished alumni and dedicated faculty and staff, as well as to inspire today’s students to do great things with their educations.   • Highland Welcomes New Business Administrator

    The Highland Central School District Board of Education appointed Victoria McLaren as its new Business Administrator at its February 9 meeting. McLaren is replacing Lissa Jilek, who has accepted a job closer to her home in a neighboring county. She expects to assume her new position by May 10. Welcome Victoria! Read more here!
