Rotary Club Donates Books to Highland Middle School

On October 29, Highland Rotary Club President Steve Laubach visited Highland Middle School to donate a new collection of books as part of the group's annual Book Project. Since 2017, this wonderful initiative has provided both fiction and non-fiction books to students at the Elementary and Middle Schools, helping to support literacy and inspire young readers.

This year, Middle School teachers selected a mix of classic and contemporary titles to enrich the school's library. Students can now explore timeless stories like "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London, "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells, "Old Yeller" by Fred Gibson, and "Bridge to Terabithia" by Katherine Paterson. They’ll also have exciting new reads, including "Confessions of a Gym Class Dropout" by Chuck Ranberg and Patrick Daley, "Three Times Lucky" by Sheila Turnage, and "The Way to Bea" by Kat Yeh.

The Highland Central School District is appreciative of the Rotary Club for its continued dedication to promoting literacy and supporting the school community!
