Student Artists Honor Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Exciting news! Artwork created by Highland Elementary School students is being featured in the New York State Education Department (NYSED)’s online exhibition honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Each year, the NYSED honors Dr. King's memory by inviting schools to submit student art and essays that reflect the Civil Rights Leader’s teachings.
These talented Huskies skillfully interpreted Dr. King's powerful words into visual expressions, drawing attention to the profound impact of his unforgettable message, guided by Dr. King's six principles of nonviolence.
